Designed for total privacy and true relaxation, Knoydart Hide is definitely for couples in love or who just want to spend some time away from it all – together surrounded by beauty. We have created a very special escape that makes the maximum use of natural light, local resources and in a magical woodland setting. Having worked with us on our sister property, Knoydart House, our local builder, who is a tall ship traditional boat builder at heart, has blended beautiful wood, copper artisan roofing with Danish glass to produce a building that brings the outside in and perfectly frames the magical woodland setting and our spectacularly romantic sealoch, Loch Nevis.

As you step into Knoydart Hide you will find it decadently furnished and warm underfoot, thanks to the heated Italian tiles covering underfloor heating throughout the Hide. As you settle in and start to explore, you will notice the attention to detail that really makes this self catering accomodation stand out from the crowd; rounded plasterwork, pewter door handles curved wooden window frames and gorgeous antique furnishigs are just some of the understated features that make this property shine, whilst still allowing the breathtaking scenery outside to take centre stage.

In the living area you will see the stunning effect of timeless old pieces sitting side by side with modern design, with an antique mahogany pedestal dining table, antique dining Victorian chairs, steamer trunk, napolonic mahogany sofa, plantation chairs, tripod camera standard lamp and little touches, such as the ornamental silver antique champagne bucket,  butler’s tray and ships decanter for your port on arrival.

Entering the state of the art kitchen, you will find all the mod cons you could ever need, including an induction hob, oven and microwave, dishwasher, upright fridge freezer and Nespresso coffee machine. Should you feel in the mood to cook, you will find all the utensils to hand, such as a breadmaker, hand blender, electronic scales not to mention a great selection of kitchenalia and cookery books, should you be short of inspiration!

If you want to dine al fresco you can relax and talk into the starlit small hours on the wraparound decking, enjoy the optional decklighting whilst elevated above Loch Nevis.

When bed time draws near, you can relax in the large en suite’s freestanding bath, which has floor to ceiling glass views and yet offers total privacy. Slip on one of the soft, thick spa robes, pad back into the bedroom and throw yourself into the crisp white cotton sheets on the antique, superking half tester canopy bed with bed-in-breakfast floor to ceiling views. Relax back and sleep away the bracing Scottish air.

Although designed with couples in mind, the superking bed is a zip link and so when required can be separated into two grand size single beds.

We can also provide, on request a travel cot and a Trip Trapp Stokke high chair.
